Amaryl M 1® Glimepiride and Metformin Tablets

Amaryl M 1 contains Glimepiride 1 mg and Metformin 500 mg in a prolonged-release formulation of metformin. It is used to manage type 2 diabetes mellitus when treatment with either medicine alone does not provide sufficient blood sugar control. Glimepiride stimulates insulin release, while metformin reduces glucose production in the liver and improves insulin sensitivity.
